There are so many important dates in our diaries. Birthday's, anniversaries, school schedules and events.
Chances are we will forget a few of these important dates, unless we are extraordinarily organised and super efficient at time management.
When we forget an important date it is important to remain calm. Once we have remembered we must act upon the event and respond. For example, today is my father's birthday and I have only just remembered. Thankfully the day is not entirely over, so I have time to make that phone call and wish him well.
We can compensate for lateness with a gift, like a poem.
Anybody can forget something particularly in an age where life is becoming increasing hectic. A heartfelt apology to anyone hurt or incomvenience is always a good firt step. What is important is not be be overwhelmed or unduly stressed becuase of the oversight. even if the forgotten thing impacts badly on your job, it is importantant to keep perspective; the sun will rise again tomorrow and as long as you have dealt with what you forgot - an apology, rectification, cathup etc - the worry of it will diminish with each passing day.
